idk, I think murder is a bit closer to universal, unlike degrees of sexual freedom permitted by social mores. You don't really HAVE to update "I think my uncle killed my dad and now I need revenge" because that kind of thing could STILL HAPPEN today, whereas "I went on a trip with a young man I'm not married to!" is no longer the life-and-reputation-ruining event it once was.
