I loved them both enormously, but When The Tiger Came Down the Mountain was IT. Idk if you reread much/do audiobooks, but ohhhhh my god, the audiobook narrator for WTTCDTM, Cindy Kay, was astonishing. Her tiger voices!!

Also, mammoths. Very Good Mammoths. I enjoyed seeing them as Good Girls, after seeing them as symbols of imperial power and retribution in Empress.
