I am not in any way encouraging you to give Constantine's Sword a second chance (if it's not working for you, you definitely don't need to read 800 pages of it!!!), but I do think that it's very much about how the Catholic church has theologically viewed Jewish people throughout history. It's not a Jewish history book but a theological history book. That's of interest to me because I love theological history, but I can totally understand why you might not be interested. (And again: almost 800 pages long!!!) Thankfully, after the first chapter or two, he focuses much less on his own journey (which I am also not particularly interested in).
