I'm not a hardcore birder and am actually slightly terrified by how intense birding fandom can get, but I love to watch and identify birds, and like to read bird field guides for fun. :D It's always delightful to see a new one, especially as we don't have a huge variety of birds here because we're very far north and very inland.
