Well, for fandom reasons I read a lot of 18th century texts, and I certainly read various 19th century authors for pleasure as well. I guess I just enjoy old-fashioned writing styles and am disappointed when a book is set in that time and I don't get anything resembling that? Like, I don't mean that I expect full-on pastiche, I would just enjoy it if they leaned more into it...

But of course, tastes vary!
