And this isn't technically a "quilt" but I won't tell if you don't - you can turn your pieced top into a knotted comforter, as a much faster way of connecting the layers of the blanket sandwich at home.
I have been so tempted by quilting, entirely because I have some shirts that are still mostly fine but I don't want to wear them for various reasons and I'm like "they're not really shirts, they're just fabric currently in the shape of shirts, maybe they could become fabric in the shape of a nice light quilt", but I'm intimiated by the part in quilting where you have to put all the layers together, so I'd love more info, or just links to stuff, or how you do this knotted thing.
