AH dw makes more sense to me!!!!!! interesting!!!!!!! that's even more confusing to me but mostly because i'm unfamiliar with perl which is what most of dw is written in but there's also the wildcard of the literal custom markup language the LJ founder wrote it in that they're replacing with perl gradually so that could also be a problem. very interesting!
