Doctor Who: The Rebel Flesh, The Almost People, and A Good Man Goes To War
Okay so I just got caught up on all three most recent episodes of Doctor Who all at once with my friends and FACE CLUTCHING AND FLAILING. WHAT.
There is TOO MUCH to talk about oh man, there was so much going on, and I can't even begin to address everything. SO.
-TWO DOCTORS. Being Doctory at each other and finishing each other's sentences and having a generally grand old time! FANTASTIC.
-RIVER SONG IS AMY AND RORY'S KID. WHAAAAAAAT. Okay. Um. I am not sure how I feel about this, guys! I think I'm not a fan? But I think I could maybe be convinced? I don't even know!
-But on the other hand, watching Amy and Rory being ADORABLE together with their kid was so adorable. And RORY tearing up and being all, I thought I was going to be able to be cool about this, but no, he has all these feeeeelings. That was great.
-Speaking of Rory, I am a big fan of him being dressed up in his centurion gear the whole episode just sort of randomly.
-The Silurian and her...maid? Being badass together and obviously caring deeply for each other? I LOVED THEM. I SHIPPED THEM. THEY WERE GREAT.
-The thin fat gay anglican married marines! Oh, bless. They were adorable. I really hope the fat one didn't end up dying when he was brought to the headless monks.
-Notice how I'm not addressing any of the big deep questions raised by these episodes? The plot things or the philosophical things or anything? Yeah, that's because I don't even know where to start with all of that. Me andsentientcitizen and our Doctor Who-watching friends Jacob and Elizabeth sat around for ages talking around various issues and getting nowhere really.
-Really I just need to rewatch at the very least A Good Man Goes To War to get a better handle on everything.
-And now I really need to go to bed. SO TIRED.
