SLINGS & ARROWS HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD

Look I all I intended to do was give a listen to the Season 1 theme song because it's super great, and then all of a sudden it's hours and hours later and I've rewatched the ENTIRE FIRST SEASON and am curled up on my couch overwhelmed with feels. (And I have the theme stuck in my head.)

UGH I JUST CANNOT EVEN WITH THIS SHOW. And the worst part is I've never even watched more than about half of it? Even though the entirety of the show is only 18 episodes. I'm just so bad at watching TV! And Richard's, like, existence stresses me out so terribly much! BUT IT'S ALL SO BRILLIANT.

:D Slings & Arrows! I have watched the first season twice, or maybe three times, (There may have been this thing where basically as soon as I finished watching it the first time I rewatched it.) all in one go.

I love the way the seasons are structured a lot. You should watch more than half of it. At least two-thirds of it, maybe?

I can generally get through things by hiding under blankets or sitting on my hands (to avoid hitting pause) and then the second time through things are not as bad, but, yeah, I recognise that that isn't going to work for everyone.

I wish you luck/courage if you do try watching it at some point.

I adore the show and I still haven't watched season three! I don't even know why! I think it's sort of a combination of the show being so brilliantly written and so -- emotionally harrowing, I guess. It's a hard show for me to just sit down and watch, but then I can't look away once I do.

It really is STAGGERINGLY good, isn't it? I keep noticing new things upon each rewatch. Like, it took me years before I suddenly realised that they'd got a whole Gertrude/Claudius parallel going on, with Holly as Claudius to Richard's Gertrude. And it's so awesome that the three writers are actors too! Every time they're on screen I want to pinch their cheeks and make out with their spicy brains!

Oh, man, S&A... I've watched it so many times, and I still laugh at the jokes when I know they're coming. The one about how Cosmpolitan Lenstrex disagrees with Shakespeare saying that life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury cracks me up every time.
