Jupiter Ascending

Jupiter Ascending!!!! I had seen a lot of delighted reviews on tumblr and dreamwidth all basically boiling down to: it is SO EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE and taken directly from a preteen girl's id. And these reviews were not wrong.

I enjoyed the hell out of it - evil space politicking, and secret princess, and ANTIGRAVITY ROLLER SKATES FOR ALL THE ACTION SCENES, and a female main character who straight up says that her decisions are HERS to make, and lots of pretty pretty clothes and sparkles and visual effects and space architecture, etc etc etc.

I was grinning and/or giggling delightedly throughout the whole the movie. I was riveted. I was 100% THERE for all its unabashed ridiculous glory. This movie is MY KIND OF MOVIE.

I SAW IT AGAIN TONIGHT. It was 100% worth it. So many sparkles!!!

ALL THE SPARKLES. It is such a good movie and demands all the rewatches! Maybe I should go see it in theatres again before its run finishes.

It's just fun and it makes me happy. :D I need to watch again this week while it's still in the theater!
