Yuletide!!
This year for yuletide I got TWO FICS for Suradanna and the Sea! I AM SO DELIGHTED. Both of them are what-happens next, and I am amused to see some parallels between the two fics as to some of the things that both authors thought would probably happen - like, yup, accurate, Suradanna and the captain definitely aren't going to just spend all their time together forever starting immediately after the end of the original novella. Both fics were a delight, and what a perfect start to my christmas day. And one of them is 12k long!
I ended up having to default this yuletide, due to life circumstances beyond my control, which was really disappointing, but the gifts I've been given have made this a superb yuletide nonetheless.
The fics are:
Suradanna and the Tide (2361 words)
"Suradanna and the captain negotiate another life in Salamadan Port."
The Captain and the Shore (12385 words)
"It takes a few decades to really get to know a person. Especially when they keep changing; especially when they're unsure of themselves."
