Introduction Post!

Hi there! I'm Soph, and this is my journal. If you want to know more about me and about what you can find here, this is the place!

(last updated: April 2024)

My pronouns: they/them

Other places you can find me online:
- [archiveofourown.org profile] sophia_sol
- [tumblr.com profile] sophia-sol
- @soph_sol@federatedfandom.net on mastodon
- my website, aviansoph.com

What you can expect from my journal:

1. My dw has been a lot of different things over the years, but of late I mostly find myself using it as a repository for my many opinions about books. I have so many book review posts that I outgrew the number of posts you can have in a single tag! My more recent book reviews can be found under the tag book thoughts 2. I love talking about books with people.

2. Once a year I post my recs for 10 of the best professionally-published, freely-available short stories I read in the previous year, under my annual rec list tag.

3. I can also occasionally be found writing fic or making podfic, both of which can be found at my ao3 linked above, but those are pretty rare these days, and you won't find me creating works in any consistent fandom. My interests bounce around a lot.

3. a) If you're interested in doing something with one of my fics (remixing, podficcing, translating, fanbinding, creating art, etc) I give blanket permission to do so for non-commercial purposes. Please provide me with a link to whatever it is if/when you post it online. I do not give permission for anything I have created to be fed into any generative AI program for any reason.

4. If you subscribe to me, please feel free to lurk or interact as you feel moved, but I enjoy talking to people about things so I hope you'll feel welcome! And if you feel comfortable doing so, please do say hi if you're new here -- in the comments of this introduction, or on a recent post, or whatever!

5. Generally speaking I'm a person who enjoys spoilers, but I understand that many other people don't, and so I do my best to put anything that might be a spoiler beneath a cut. HOWEVER, I may not always judge correctly what others might consider a spoiler, and I may occasionally forget, so I cannot promise a perfectly spoiler-free experience on my journal.
