OKAY. I have caught up on my rlist; tomorrow, my flist!

In the meantime, have some spoilers, for The Curse of the Black Pearl Spot, from Pirates of the Caribbean Doctor Who.

Yays Doctor Who and pirates! Two great tastes that taste great together! Especially when Amy is being THAT BADASS about it. Amy with pirate hat and coat and sword, holding all the pirates at bay, is PURE AWESOME. <33333

And I love the Doctor's thing for hats. Mostly because I have a major thing for hats too. :P

Iiiii couldn't help but notice that the people weren't doing much to actually hold the cursed pirates back from the siren. Like, Rory they physically manhandle away. The pirates? They make aborted reaching gestures towards. Methinks they're not actually trying. Also, for god's sake, do they have nothing on that ship that they can just use as EARPLUGS. I mean really.

Were the dead monster thingies on the other ship dead Judoon? Because the skull kind of looked like they could be!

"The TARDIS!"
And the Doctor sounds the most thrilled of all of them... :D

Okay, so there are some plotholes. Like why all the other pirates that got taken by the siren/doctor for nothing more than a wee cut were all put on the medbay tables, but the Doctor and Amy and the captain were totally ignored by her once she'd taken them... And the ep fails the bechdel test HARD. And I was uninterested in the whole pirate-captain-and-his-son bit. And actually the plot was really kind of stupid. But hey, I don't watch for the plot. And there were PIRATES. (although urgh, the brief connection at the end to the season's overaching plot, with the Schrodinger's Pregnancy. That still annoys me. Whyyyyy the pregnancy plotline?)

THE NEXT TIME. THERE IS A LIVING TIME LORD OUT THERE! I AM EXCITE. JUST FOR THE RECORD. (also I think the next ep is the Neil Gaiman ep? I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes!)

In conclusion: AMY/RORY OTP. DOCTOR/TARDIS OTP. That is all.

I must admit, as much as I hated this episode my own self, I adored the Doctor running to hug the TARDIS. (And that's with me having given up so much I didn't even particularly register the way that only Our Three Heroes didn't get statis-ified.) Doctor/TARDIS FTW!

Hmmm... I don't think the skeletons were Judoon. They were like a combination an ornithopod (they had a ridge on the top and back of their heads) and a rodent... /geek

Haha, I can't believe no one thought of earplugs, especially considering the origin of the myth -- quite the oversight!

I am looking forward to the Gaiman-episode as well, but I mainly thought the teaser looked weird and confusing, so IDK!

Hmmm, fair enough! It's not like I have a particularly clear memory of what the Judoon looked like anyways....

Yeah, the teaser was definitely weird and confusing. And also I have just realized that the title of the episode is "The Doctor's Wife" which is just WORLDS of DO NOT WANT. So. I am excited and REALLY NERVOUS at the same time!

URGHHHHH I KNOW. Title had BETTER BE A HUGE DECOY. Or there will be SO MUCH ANGER. SO MUCH.

Then next ip is most definitely the Neil Gaiman ep.

There were a bunch of things that bothered me about the last episode. But it's the Doctor, and I forgive him most anything. And I thought the first and second eps of this season were so very awesome, that I'm still happy about them. i know I'm going to like the next one.

As for the Schrodinger's Pregnancy (did you make that up? That's glorious) I have a theory, but I'm not sure if you want to hear it or not (it is based on nothing, just what we've seen, I have no inside info...).

Rory is my hero.

I'm...pretty sure I made up the Schrodinger's pregnancy thing! Though I believe other people have spontaneously generated the term as well, so I'm not the only one who thought it. I do love the term, even if not the actual thing!
